Tips for an Amazing Stay on 30a

We are so excited to welcome you to Eyes Above the Waves Condo!  Here’s your Guestbook filled with important arrival/departure information and tips for an amazing stay.  We are always available for any questions you may have.  Please email or text us (instead of messaging on VRBO) for a speedy reply.  Now, let’s get your vacation started!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

•    I-10 to Highway 331 South (EXIT 85)

•    Turn left on Highway 98 East

•    Turn right on 395 South (To Dead End)

•    Turn left on 30A

•    Travel 1.6 miles east on 30A. Villas at Seagrove Beach (three tan buildings) will be on left, just past The Perfect Pig.

MAIN ENTRANCE GATE CODE: Private code provided in your arrival text message  - Gate is heavy and takes a second to start opening.  If you see a green light when you enter the code, it's working.  Each unit is allotted no more than two vehicles. Please display parking passes provided in the unit; cars parked on property without displaying parking passes are at risk of being towed.  The two parking space limit is strictly enforced, no exceptions can be made for trailers or additional cars.  Please make your own prior arrangements for any overflow parking.

 

CONDO DOOR CODE: We set your private 4-digit code to the last 4 digits of the phone number given with the reservation, so it’s easy to remember during your stay.  The keypad is a black touch screen.  Enter your 4-digit code to unlock the door.  The door will not lock automatically, to lock the door from the inside, turn the deadbolt.  To lock the door when leaving the condo, touch the word “Schlage” and you will hear the lock engage.

PRIVATE  BEACH GATE ACCESS:  Private Beach Key Fob required for beach access – What sets our home apart from others on 30a is our private, gated beach access.  You will find 2 Beach Key Fobs in our home for use during your stay. 

 

 

EARLY ARRIVAL:  While we request that you respect both arrival and departure times to help facilitate proper cleaning and turn around, don’t let it get in the way of good weather! Access to parking & pool facilities is available on your date of arrival or departure at any time – you just can’t use your key code to get into the condo until check in time or after check out.  Feel free to arrive early, lunch in the area, (The Perfect Pig is right next door & The Greenway Station is around the corner), and enjoy an extra day shopping or at the pool!  Our pool area has bathrooms for changing into your suits.  

UNLOADING AND LOADING:   Our condo is in the B building (middle building) on the 4th floor, unit B402.  There is a large elevator that drops you off right next to the door for easy loading and unloading.  Please do not hold elevator door open, it will cause the elevator to stop working.

BIKES:  Bike racks are provided on the east side of the parking lot by the grill.  Guests must park all bikes in those racks.  No bikes or beach items can be stored in the ground floor lobby area as this is a Fire Code Violation.  All items left in ground floor lobby will be removed.  

GOLF CARTS: The Villas at Seagrove Beach has banned electric powered golf carts for all guests. Gas powered carts are welcome, BUT will count as one of your TWO vehicles parked on property.  Golf carts should be parked on the back row of the parking lot as a courtesy to other guests.  Need overflow parking?  There is a spillover yard to our west one street before the Tom Thumb gas station, it’s called Seagrove Bargain Storage, you can contact Chip @ 850-231-4448.

LAUNDRY:  Our full size washer and dryer are standard type units are easy to use and operate.  The washer is an ‘he’ (High Efficiency) model; you will notice the water level per load is considerably lower than what you may be accustomed to, that is normal.  Bulky items may need to be rearranged during spin cycle.  For best results, you will need to use an HE-specific laundry detergent.  Guests are responsible for detergents.  We also have an iron & ironing board for your use.

BEACH CHAIRS/UMBRELLA: In the hall closet there are 5-6 beach chairs for your use.  After returning from the beach we rinse them off at the hose by the pool and store them outside the condo door, ready for the next day.  We try to keep anything sandy outside by front door, making sure not to block the elevator or stairs.  At the end of your stay, please make sure the beach chairs are rinsed and dry before placing them back into hall closet.  Please note that starting in 2024, our beach does not allow tents.

BEACH CHAIR RENTAL: Our beach offers lounge chair/umbrella service. You can reserve chairs by the day or by the week. You get 2 lounge chairs and 1 umbrella per set up.  Contact La Dolce Vita reservations department at (866) 651-1869 or book online at www.ldvbeach.com choosing Majestica/Seaview under the 30a destinations.  

BEACH TOWELS: You will find 4-6 beach towels provided in the laundry room so you won’t have to pack those bulky things.  If you need more, please plan accordingly.  We do ask that you don’t bring our condo bath towels to the beach or pool.  Please wash, fully dry and replace beach towels so the cleaning service doesn't remove them with the other linens. 

BATH LINENS: All bathrooms have plenty of towels and washcloths for your use.  Please use darker washcloths for makeup removal.  At the end of your stay, simply leave all used towels on the floor of each bathroom.  Each bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer.

BEDDING: All beds will be made upon your arrival. Additional bedding and personal fans are located in some of the closets. Please leave all used beds unmade when you leave.

GRILL: The complex has one community gas grill for use on the east side of the parking lot.  Be a good neighbor & leave the grill clean after use.

POOL: Olympic size, seasonally heated, swimming pool with bathroom facility.  **Please use outdoor shower to rinse off sand & sunscreen as this clogs filters and causes heater to turn off.  Kindly obey pool rules posted, observe quiet hours & swim at your own risk.  Bathroom code provided in your arrival text message.

TELEVISION & MUSIC: Each bedroom room has TV with Direct TV installed.  Feel free to log in to your streaming services on the Smart TV, but remember to log out so that no one can access your account.   We also have a Google Home Mini for music, news and weather.

KITCHEN: The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker. (there is an on/off switch on the back if it appears to not be working)  We also have a drip coffee maker in the pantry.  We have a few basic spices that you are welcome to use.  Only a starter set up of travel sized soap, a trash bag, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and toilet tissue will be provided by the cleaning service upon your arrival.  You will need to provide additional supplies during your stay.

EXTERIOR SECURITY CAMERA: Our home has an exterior security camera in use.  Any violations of our renters agreement, number of guests in the property, pets, unsupervised guests under the age of 25 or blatant disregard of the rules of our community association, will result in removal from the property without any refunds.

GROCERY DELIVERY SERVICES: Grocery stores are crazy on weekends! There are several options for grocery delivery in the 30A area.  Let them do the shopping for you & skip the lines at the stores on the day of your arrival.   Plan ahead; most of them require that your order be placed one week to 24 hours prior to your arrival.  Our Zip Code is 32459

We are excited to welcome you into our family’s home!  Please treat our condo just like it’s your own & kindly respect our rules.  

•    Please, do not sit on the furniture or bedding with wet bathing suits, spray tans or with sunscreen on your skin, as it will discolor our furnishings.  Additionally, do not spray sunscreen inside. 

•    Do not hang anything on or over the balcony railing.

•    Remove ALL trash from the condo when checking out placing tied bags in the community dumpster in parking lot.

•    Remove ALL items from the refrigerator when checking out.

•    Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn on to start cycle to clean before you leave. 

•    Gather all used bath towels and place in bathroom floor.  All bath towels & linens are commercially laundered off site.  If you used our beach towels, please wash and fully dry them and return them to shelves in laundry room.  Please do not leave them in the washer or dryer.

•    Leave all used beds unmade when checking out.

•    Please LEAVE  BEACH KEY FOBS  on the hooks by the door.  Kindly make a point to leave these so our next guests will have uninterrupted access to the beach and to avoid replacement charges of $75 per Key Fob.

•    Please write in our guest book and find us on social media!  We love seeing your pictures and getting feedback from our guests!  Leaving a Review helps us so much!! Thank you!!

• Please be respectful of your neighbors by observing quiet times before 8:00am and after 10:00pm. Any excessive noise after 10:00pm is a violation of Walton County Noise Ordinance (Ord. 2014-16 sec. 5) and may result in a citation, fine or loss of security deposit.
• NO pets. Renters who bring pets may incur a fine to unit owners and loss of security deposit for renters.
• Each unit is allotted NO more than two vehicles (including golf carts). ONLY gas powered golf carts are permitted. Electric golf carts are strictly Prohibited.
• NO SMOKING in elevators, lobbies, pool areas or on balconies.
• Bikes are only to be parked in bike racks. NO storing of bikes or beach items in  the lobby areas. Any items left in in lobbies areas will be discarded.
• Pool Hours: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No food or glass containers are allowed in the pool area. Please do not leave any personal items around the pool area overnight. No radios are allowed by the pool unless they are used with headphones.
• DO NOT hang towels or other items from balcony railings.
